Probabilistic collapse assessment of steel frame structures considering the effects of soil-structure interaction and height

This paper investigates the seismic performance of Intermediate Moment-Resisting Steel Frame structures considering effects height and soil-structure interaction. For this purpose, three 3D 3, 6 9-story were designed using CSI ETABS software in accordance with ASCE7-16. Then 2D frames simulated by OpenSEES to account for nonlinearity material, plastic hinge elements used. The analyzed IDA method subjected 22 far-field ground motion records FEMA-P695. Finally, fragility curves developed. results showed that consideration interaction leads lower spectral acceleration as increases, meaning higher-rising have record-induced Sa (T1,5%) closer (Design), decreasing difference tends increase. Exceedance probability decreases increase structure’s adapts exceedance probability. Also, investigated structural models according ASCE7-16 acceptable against indicating their terms LS CP level respectively are less than 0.45 0.03.
